Welcome!

The program of the Workshop will address a broad range of topics covering
the main areas of high-energy particle and nuclear physics, and several
topics of current interest: recent LHC and Tevatron experimental results;
Dark Matter searches; Neutrino physics; High-Energy QCD; Heavy ion
collisions; phenomenology of AdS/CFT; astroparticles, and other topics.

We strongly encourage presentations of physics results from experimental
HEP labs (CERN, RHIC, HERA, JLAB, Tevatron, etc.) and also expect that
theory talks will go beyond the scope of the physics from these facilities.
This event will be followed by a two-day workshop on the ANDES Underground
Laboratory, dedicated to the design of this newly planned Underground
facility and the Physics and other scientific prospects for the Lab. Even
though these are separate workshops, you are welcome to participate in both.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together young and senior scientists,
theorists and experimentalists, to review the recent progress in High Energy
Physics. Students and young scientists: Limited funds for support of students
and young scientists presenting a talk or poster are available.
An abstract of the presentation should be sent together with the application.

The registration fee of USD300 includes the cost of lunches, cofeebreaks and
local transportation (hotel-UTFSM-hotel). It is expected to be paid in cash
upon registration.
